Superhero Run

Children need heroes. Abused and neglected children need SUPERHEROES!

A beautiful Sunday afternoon was the background to the CASA Superhero Run held on Sunday, February 24, 2013.  Over 750 runners and walkers helped raise $25,000 to help support the programs of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Forsyth County.

“The CASA Superhero Run was fabulous and a huge success.  We were so pleased to have more than 750 Superheroes out to support the CASA program,” stated Janet Walden, Executive Director of the program.  The $25,000 raised will help train and support the volunteers who advocate for the needs of the abused and neglected children in our community.

“We are grateful to everyone who participated, our volunteers and our sponsors, who made this event a fun day for the entire family,” Walden added.

Last year, 99 volunteers advocated for 222 children who were found to be victims of child abuse and/or neglect in Forsyth County.  For more information on the Forsyth County CASA, visit www.forsythcountycasa.org.
